Proposal Submissions Are Now Open for ICASS XII 2027

The International Arctic Social Sciences Association (IASSA) invites researchers, practitioners, Indigenous representatives, students, and others to submit proposals for the 12th International Congress of Arctic Social Sciences (ICASS XII). ICASS XII will take place in Nuuk, Greenland, from 31 May to 4 June 2027.

The congress will bring together social scientists, policymakers, Indigenous representatives, youth, and other stakeholders to discuss a wide range of issues affecting the Arctic. 
The congress themes will reflect diverse disciplines within the social sciences. Topics including social affairs, geopolitics, economic development, environmental challenges, Indigenous rights, and many other themes will connect and engage researchers and practitioners at ICASS XII.
 

IASSA is an international association of social scientists conducting research in the Arctic. Maria Ackrén, director of the Stefansson Arctic Institute, is the elected president of IASSA.
