A vistit from Icelands prime minister Katrín Jakobsdóttir

Katrín Jakobsdóttir the prime minister of Iceland, visited Stefansson Arctic Istitude on September 13th. Accompanying her were the candidates of Left Green Movement in upcoming parlament elections. Níels Einarsson introduced the main projects and goals of the institute. Various issues were discussed, research and co-operation in the Arctic  and budgets among other issues. The institute's library attracted attention and it was clear that many of the visitors would have liked to stop for a while and have a closer look.
